Location & Directions

Ironbark Cottage is located 2 kilometres west of the Village of Karuah, Port Stephens. The street address is 12 Allen Road. (Please note this is sometimes marked as Limeburners Creek Road on Google maps and sat navs).  Own transport required. 

Tea Gardens / Hawkes Nest - 25 mins

Raymond Terrace - 20 mins

Williamtown / Newcastle airport - 25 mins

Take the first Karuah exit from the Pacific Highway, on to Tarean Road. Travel through Karuah Village and continue 2 kilometres along Tarean Road. Turn right into Allen Road (Johnson’s Timber Sawmill on your right). Continue 300 metres along Allen Road and just as the road veers left you will see the main house and Ironbark Cottage on your right.  Turn up the driveway and drive up to the open carport. 

Take the first Karuah exit from the Pacific Highway, approximately 20 kilometres north of Raymond Terrace. This puts you on Tarean Road. 200 metres after the Karuah Golf Club towards the bottom of the hill is the turnoff to Allen Road (tight turn left which is hard to see, especially in the dark). Continue 300 metres and just as the road veers left you will see the main house and Ironbark Cottage on the right.  Turn up the driveway and drive up to the open carport.
